Firespell by Chloe Neill

Hi!
I am going to start putting the author's names in the review. I don't know why I didn't do this before but oh well!

Title: Firespell

Author: Chloe Neill

Rating: 4.5 stars

Review: Lily Parker is doomed. Her parents are off in Germany and they've dumped her at St. Sophia's school for girls in Chicago, a place she has never been. Now she has to face new classmates and a she hopefully has earned a friend. But Scout is a little weird, she goes weird places all the time and won't tell Lily anything. But Lily it seems has lot to learn about herself, her parents and her new friends, both girl and boy.

I enjoyed this book a ton! I flew through it, like in a day in a half. I should have been writing but reading I have to say is much, much more fun.

The only reason that this doesn't get a full 5 stars is because it was a little un-actiony in the beginning of the book. While I enjoyed it, I thought something more exciting could have happened!!

Otherwise I enjoyed this book a lot. It was fun and easy to read and I loved all the characters especially Lily and her bff, Scout. Not even mentioning all the guy characters!! But oh well there wasn't any kissing in this book! But never less I was kept occupied on a long car ride.

The plot was very interesting and I enjoyed reading about it. While it is a little like other magic and supernatural books, it still had it's unique spots.

I am looking forward to reading the sequel Hexbound, coming out Jan. 20, 2011!! It will be great to see more of Lily and her friends!!!

I think the blurb does a great job of summarizing the story and I really don't want to give more away than that, because part of the fun of reading this book is discovering what exactly lurks below the halls of St. Sophia's. Lily Parker is dropped off at St. Sophia's and immediately bonds with her suite mate, Scout, who has been at the school since she was twelve. Scout has a "been there, done that" attitude and takes Lily under her wing. Scout has secrets though - secrets that leave Lily very curious about the "errands" Scout is running that keep her out at night many hours past curfew.
