Summary: Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.
Review: Jenny Han has created something special, something memorable and I can't wait to travel to Cousins again.
The Summer I Turned Pretty was so heartwarming and so very real. Don't even read the rest of this review, just go out or order yourself a copy because you're in for a real treat!
I loved Belly and the setting she created for me. It was just plain addictive to read about her and all her buddies! Conrad, Jeremiah and her mom and their mom! It was amazing, but at the same time sad. There was some heavy stuff going on. And I almost wish it wasn't in there but it wouldn't be the same with out it.
And who do I want, exactly for Belly? Probably Conrad, but Jeremiah is a sweetheart but Conrad is just…special. I love the idea of falling for two brothers who are basically polar opposites.
I'm so glad the sequels out, I don't think I'd be able to wait otherwise!
