Summary: Anna is dreading another tourist-filled summer on Dune Island that follows the same routine: beach, ice cream, friends, repeat. That is, until she locks eyes with Will, the gorgeous and sweet guy visiting from New York. Soon, her summer is filled with flirtatious fun as Anna falls head over heels in love.

But with every perfect afternoon, sweet kiss, and walk on the beach, Anna can’t ignore that the days are quickly growing shorter, and Will has to leave at the end of August. Anna’s never felt anything like this before, but when forever isn’t even a possibility, one summer doesn’t feel worth the promise of her heart breaking….

Review: Sixteenth Summer is a keeper from the start. It is the total feel good read.

Anna was such an admirable main character. I loved her from the first sentence. She's a touch of fun, cynical, realness, and some ice cream. Oh the ICE CREAM! Anna's parents own an ice cream shop and the funky flavors they come up with sounded amazing!!

But Anna was so sweet and realistic, and I wanted things to work out to be good for her. She needed a little romance in her boring old southern life!

Will, oh that boy was the ultimate sweetness, combined with a dash of hotness! He was perfect for Anna and their relationship was one of the realest I have seen in a "summer" romance.

I loved watching Anna and Will explore the island. Will for the first time and Anna with new eyes. It was so much fun.

A must read for fans of summer romance.

If this book was an ice cream flavor it would be...something a little spicy with a dash of sweetness on top. Cinnamon and sprinkles...eww!
