Summary: Abby accepted that she can’t measure up to her beautiful, magnetic sister Tess a long time ago, and knows exactly what she is: Second best. Invisible.

Until the accident.

Now Tess is in a coma, and Abby’s life is on hold. It may have been hard living with Tess, but it's nothing compared to living without her.

She's got a plan to bring Tess back though, involving the gorgeous and mysterious Eli, but then Abby learns something about Tess, something that was always there, but that she’d never seen.

Abby is about to find out that truth isn't always what you think it is, and that life holds more than she ever thought it could...

Review: This was my first Elizabeth Scott book. To tell the truth, I wasn't that impressed. I was bored for about the first 150 pages. Thankfully that book had some redeeming qualities that make me want to read a little more Elizabeth Scott.

Abby. Personally I think she is one of the most annoying main characters that I have ever read about. I understand her pain about being compared to people, especially people better than you. But. . . it got annoying after the first couple of chapters. We just kept being reminded and reminded of it. Which pretty much caused me to feel sad for Abby, but it didn't make me connect to her, or like her. I'm not even going to mention her sister.

I predicted what the "big" things was, mainly because of reading some reviews that didn't quite mention it, and it wasn't that hard to figure out.  But it was still interesting to see how everything about it played out. And thankfully there were some things that I didn't see coming.

The only "perfect" thing about this book was Eli. He was just amazing. So well-written and so beautiful on the inside and out. What an adorable guy. Too bad he wasn't real.

My first Elizabeth Scott book turned out alright. I'm glad I read it, even though it wasn't the most enjoyable at times. It had a good message and an even better ending. You might want to pick this one up!

Thanks for such an honest review. I hate when you can't connect or even like the main character. Abby doesn't sound like my kind of character either. I hate whiny characters.

Thanks for the great review. I haven't read this one yet...with your three stars, it'll probably still remain on my TBR list, just bumped down in priority. I haven't read Elisabeth Scott yet. Probably gonna pick another one to start with.
Happy reading!

I felt the exact same way. I really got sick of Abby and couldn't sympathize very much. It was my first Scott book though, so I do want to read more, maybe find one I love.
