Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine to share books we can't wait to read!
This is a little later then expected because, truthfully, I forgot that I even had to blog at all. I remember distinctly thinking that I had post ready. But as I sat eating my breakfast/lunch I realized that I hadn't. So without further ado...
This week's pick is:
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
September 11, 2011
Kami Glass loves someone she’s never met . . . a boy she’s talked to in her head ever since she was born. She wasn’t silent about her imaginary friend during her childhood, and is thus a bit of an outsider in her sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale. Still, Kami hasn’t suffered too much from not fitting in. She has a best friend, runs the school newspaper, and is only occasionally caught talking to herself. Her life is in order, just the way she likes it, despite the voice in her head.
But all that changes when the Lynburns return.
The Lynburn family has owned the spectacular and sinister manor that overlooks Sorry-in-the-Vale for centuries. The mysterious twin sisters who abandoned their ancestral home a generation ago are back, along with their teenage sons, Jared and Ash, one of whom is eerily familiar to Kami. Kami is not one to shy away from the unknown—in fact, she’s determined to find answers for all the questions Sorry-in-the-Vale is suddenly posing. Who is responsible for the bloody deeds in the depths of the woods? What is her own mother hiding? And now that her imaginary friend has become a real boy, does she still love him? Does she hate him? Can she trust him?
Doesn't this one sounds SO cool!? I'm loving that it's in a little town and involves an imaginary friend. And I'm more than a tad curious about these "bloody deeds in the depths of the woods!" This definitely sounds like my kind of book. And since I've never read anything by Brennan this will be a perfect opportunity!

This one has kind of an eerie, gothic feel to it and I really like that! Plus, I like the simplicity of the cover with the black and red. Excellent pick.
OOh nice! Saw this one on Netgalley incase you hadn't heard! Hope you love it!

This is a great concept. I've never read about an imaginary friend coming to life. It does sound great!
I was so happy to see Sarah say on twitter your review made her day! How sweet is that?
I can't wait to read this, too. And I love Sarah Rees Brennan, I'm sure we're in for a treat!
