Summary: fallen angel haunted by her past. Yearning for her immortal beloved. Forever searching for answers.Who will show her Mercy?

Mercy has lost herself. She can’t count how many times she’s “woken up” in a new body, and assumed a new life, only to move on again and again. During the day she survives in the human world on instinct and at night her dreams are haunted by him. Mercy’s heart would know him anywhere. But her memory refuses to cooperate.

But this time is different. When Mercy wakes up she meets Ryan, an eighteen year old reeling from the loss of his twin sister who was kidnapped two years ago. Everyone else has given up hope, but Ryan believes his sister is still alive. Using a power she doesn’t fully comprehend, Mercy realizes that Ryan is right. His sister is alive and together they can find her. For the first time since she can remember, Mercy has a purpose; she can help. So she doesn’t understand why the man in her dreams cautions her not to interfere. But as Ryan and Mercy come closer to solving the dark mystery of his sister’s disappearance, danger looms just one step behind.

Will Mercy be able to harness her true self and extraordinary power in time?

The first in a dazzling new series, Mercy masterfully weaves romance, mystery and the supernatural into a spell-binding tale.

Review: I actually bought a copy of this before it was on Netgalley, it was the UK edition. And so was the Netgalley one. I'm so glad to have this great angel story, plus a mystery, on my shelves!

One thing that really grabbed me about Mercy was, and still is, the mystery. It was pretty awesome. Even though it wasn't too hard to figure out who is was, I still enjoyed Carmen/ Mercy and Ryan trying to figure it out. They get themselves into some really tight and actually scary situations!

The idea of Mercy going into other people's bodies was amazing! It's an original edition to YA Angels, where we get the same tired and true things. So, that was a definite plus!

Even though Mercy focuses on the mystery of missing girls there is a little mystery going on, of who Mercy actually is. I hope the idea will be explored more in a future book! It was hardly touched on at all in this one.

Other than the awesome mystery and the angel part of the story, I really didn't connect or really care much about the characters. Sure, I wanted them to have a happy ending but it wasn't that crucial to me. I was just along for the ride. Mercy did develop quite a bit, and while I don't love her yet...she's slowly working her way inside. Ryan was an awesome character, possibly a tiny bit flat, to me, but he was hot.

Overall, Mercy was an awesome little mystery with a touch of romance. Even though there were a few things that bugged me, I'd definitely recommend this! I can't wait to book 2!

I'm getting a little tired of angels because I feel there are so many different versions I just get confused. I'm glad this one is good though. It's also on my NetGalley list!

Mercy sounds like a unique and exciting book! Too bad Ryan was a bit flat for you but at least he was hot. LOL
