Review: Um, WOW! That's basically all I can think after reading this book. That and a feeling of being heartbroken. I can't tell you why though.

Angie Frazier has done it again. She's written a book that I think might be the best ever. I loved being on this journey with our beautiful cast of characters. Frazier is seriously like my favorite author. I've read 2 of her previous books, and I've absolutely loved all of them. The Eternal Sea was no different.

Camille was just as amazing as ever. She was so human to me and I could easily relate to her. I felt her inner turmoils and was there right along side her the entire time. It was just plain great. Oscar, oh that boy just oozes wonderfulness. He and Camille, wow just wow! I don't want to spoil anything though so I won't say anymore. Or maybe I should say Camille and Randall? I do like Randall but Oscar is just my favorite. Yes, there is a love triangle. But it isn't annoying, it's actually quite amazing.

Ira!! He is SO funny. Other than the boys and Camille he is just plain awesome. SO funny! I don't know how many times I can say this but he is. And he likes making up nicknames for people too!!

And the plot the was riveting. I could not stop reading, it was just so good. There were so many twists and turns and new things happening. But it was easy to follow!

And the fantasy and historical aspects of The Eternal Sea were so well written, and just down right unique. I loved it. It makes it even more memorable.

I loved everything about The Eternal Sea, it was probably even better than Everlasting. I can't wait for the next book!

Review: Across the Universe is one of the best debuts I have ever read. It captivated me from the first chapter, the first page and I was captivated through the whole book. I read it in one sitting, in about 4-5 hours.*

To make a book so enthralling, so captivating you have to be an amazing writer. And Beth Revis is that author. The way she writes is so smooth and flowing, it is almost effortless to read. She writes the most beautiful sentences, pages, chapters.

And the characters were just as stunning as the writing. It was so easy to identify and relate with Amy and Elder. I really understood them, I felt for then and I cared for them. Amy was so broken and I need her to heal. I want her to be happy, I want her to see the outside world again one day. I need that for Elder too. I understood Elder as well, but his choices baffled me a little at first. But I understand, and I love him all the same.

The Godspeed was twisted. So twistedly evil and sinister. Sometimes it was hard to read about everything that happened on the ship. The way things happened, the way people acted was just so wrong and sick. The mystery was great, but like the Godspeed twisted and turned around so I never knew what was happening and before I could guess the next move, it was all shot down again. It was amazing.

Across the Universe will be a book I remember for a long, long time.

Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly

Review: Andi Alpers once had the potential of becoming a great musician. She received high remarks in school and was at the top of her class. But that was two years ago, and now Andi is still dealing with the death if her brother. When Andi is shipped off to Paris for winter break, she finds a diary of an actor who lived during the Revolution. And as Andi reads the diary she herself goes on a journey, of discovering herself and of time.

This was such a great book!! I grew to enjoy it immensely as the book went on. And the ending was by far the best part of the book. But don't worry I won't spoil it for you!

One of my only complaints about the book is that the begginning of pure torture. Well maybe not pure but pretty close. I was bored and fed up with Andi. Her emotions were really raw and real. But just a touch overdone.

I'm also not a fan of drinking and drugs or suicide, which comes up a bit in the beginning of the novel.

Otherwise I absolutely loved Andi, on her good days, Virgil, *swoon* and most importantly the diary entries and the plot.

I was kept reading constantly for most of the book and I found myself caring for Andi, Alex, Virgil, and Louis-Charles. They made me want to keep reading and so did the plot!

This was a great, beautiful book that I now realize that I love.

350 Page Challenge

I am joining 350+ Reading Challenge hosted by What's Your Story?

The main goal is to read mostly YA books that are over 350 pages. Which is a great idea, while I like long books, they can be rather tiresome to read sometimes. (Rather tiresome?? What the heck?!!) this runs from January 1st to December 31st, 2011.

Since I don't have to make a list, that's all I have to say!! Wait a second I will tell you some books I plan on reading though!

I I am planning reading the Gemma Doyle Trilogy and the Mortal instruments books! I will probably also continue to read some series like the Beautiful Creatures books (Castor chronicles) and Plague, the new Gone book. I hope to find more long books and read them now! YAY!
